"Goodnight My Love" (Motola - Marascalco) by Jesse Belvin was produced by co-author John Marascalco in 1956. A twelve year old Barry White is playing piano. This peaked at number seven on the R&B chart. According to Wikipedia "The writing credit does to George Motola and John Marascalco. The official version seems to be that Matola had written "Goodnight My Love (Pleasant Dreams)" as early as 1946 but had never been able to finish it. Belvin provided the lines for the bridge that completed the song but asked for $400 instead of co-authorship credit. Motola did not have the money but John Maracalco did, paid Belvin and thus became listed as co-writer.

George Motola died in 1991, survived by his wife and children. From a chartered boat filled with friends, business associates and family, the ahes of Motola were scattered at sea, and his greatest hit was sung a cappella by Gretchen Christopher of the Fleetwoods (Gary Troxell, Gretchen Christopher and Barbara Ellis). The Fleetwoods took "Goodnight My Love" into the top forty in 1963. It's from the album with the same title.

Great orchestration from a January Hollywood session and another top thirty hit for Paul Anka when he recorded "Goodnight My Love (Pleaseant Dreams)" from the album with the same name in 1969. This reached number two on the Adult Contemporary chart.
