Composer Dallas Frazier sang "There Goes My Everything" on a televised country music special in which he mentions Jack Greene on the introduction.
From the 1966 album of the same name Jack Greene hit the top ten of the Country chart with "There Goes My Everything". It crossed over into the Billboard Top One Hundred. This was the CMA single of the year and the album of the year in 1966. Jack also won "Male Vocalist of the Year".
The next year Engelbert Humperdinck hit number twenty on Billboard with this track from the album "Release Me".
