This is the original score from the 1968 motion picture "Hang 'em High" (Domenic Frontiere) starring Clint Eastwood. Among his co-stars were Ed Begley, Inger Stevens, Ben Johnson, Bruce Dern, Dennis Hopper, James MacArthur and Bob Steele! Composer, arranger and accomplished jazz accordionist Domenic Frontiere was head of the music department at Paramount Pictures during the next decade.
The original house band at Stax Records, Booker T (Jones) and the MGs (Steve Cropper, Donald "Duck Dunn and Alan Jackson Jr.) hit the top ten with this instrumental from the "Soul Limbo" album. This group provided back up for Delaney and Bonnie, Wilson Pickett, Sam and Dave, Eddie Floyd, Otis Redding and The Staple Singers. The letters "M.G." refers to the sports car and not "Memphis Group" as has been suggested in many areas.
