[EN] Hello to you all,
There are 9 days left and the first goal of 25,000$ has been reached !
We can call it a success but it is not over, the ultimate goal is 50,000$
A word from IMA :
> If you cannot pay because you don't have a credit card, we suggest you to arrange the payment with a friend (you'll be able to refund them via PayPal).
> Or you can use a prepaid card, they are available in many countries now.
> Regarding the odd donations we receive, IndiGoGo keeps an eye on it to see if they were illegal.
Again, it doesn't mean the website isn't safe ! (if it is an illegal play, the person stole the credit card numbers on other place and came to generosity.com to test the card)
> Another batch of emails will be sent soon by ipernity. If you receive it and already paid, please do not take it in account (or forward it to a friend ;-) ).
> We also need you to think about the help you can provide to the association.
(i.e : computer ingeneering, partnership network, etc..)
You can join the group and participate to the discussion.
Again, we'd like you to consider to donate and keep spreading the word about the crowdfunding :

Thank you for everything !
Sincerely,
Ipernity team

I also don't critisize the person of Mr. Ruelle! Help me god! But his behaviour isn't that one of a honourable man. And criticising the behaviour is not only permitted, if another person violences the rules of honest human intercourse, it is even necessary.
In Germany the proverb exists: "Ein gebrochenes Versprechen ist ein gesprochenes Verbrechen". I don't know, if there is something equivalent in the English language. Let me try to translate it: "A broken promise is a spoken crime."
Please believe me: I'm far away from putting pressure! Mr. Ruelle knows all the deadlines since the beginning of the crowdfunding. He agreed with them from the very beginnig in a written form. But instead of accelerating the agreed process, he retarded it again and again by not delivering data in time, or frittering in new discussions, which were not productive at all. By this means we've lost at least 6 weeks of precious time.
The only thing I do is remembering him to act as a honourable man, as farmers here in Tyrol do since hundreds of years: "A man, a word." They didn't need complicated contracts and advocates, only a handshake. Do you know, that contracts are still possible in this way in Austria, and in Germany, too? (Besides those contracts, where a notarization is statutory.) And I think, it's nothing else, as written in the bible, isn't it?
" "A man, a word." They didn't need complicated contracts and advocates, only a handshake. Do you know, that contracts are still possible in this way in Austria, and in Germany, too? (Besides those contracts, where a notarization is statutory.) And I think, it's nothing else, as written in the bible, isn't it?" : I've heard of it and in fact, everybody should be able to rely on your simply given word but the reality looks different, worldwide. And this is not the only one written in the Bible, isn't it?
In addition, is Mr. Ruelle really not an honorable man simply because he reacts humanly ? Everybody differently handles with such a situation, and it is to us to understand this and to act appropriately - at least as real democrats and philanthropists.
The first time I asked all the participants of my workshops (Statistical Process Control in the Cemical Production) one year before my own estimated timeline. I had some exploratory talks, negotiated the conceivable conditions, and sold it at the end to that person, which had my best reliance. Everything calm, without breaking any promise. I earned one annual turnover, he was as satisfied as me. But most of all the organizer (DGQ = German Society for Quality Assurance) was satisfied to get the best successor for that activity, which had been foundated by me. The second deal - I cut a corner - was my complete retirement from job. A much bigger project. But it passed off without any problems, too.
I'm far away from beeing a phlilantriopist. I'm a quite realistic man. Otherwise I wouldn't have been successful as ghostwriter for tough CEOs in the chemical industry and free-lancing lecturer. And here now is my secret: Always keep a timeline, never break a given word. Trust, once lost, will never come back!
but this is not the subject of discussion here.
None of us should break our given word but there are unpredictable situations in life that can make it impossible for us to keep a given promise ( we are only human and not God ). However, basically, I agree with you that we shouldn't be so casual about our promisses and be aware of the consequences of a broken promise. But God's ways and thoughts are higher than ours and He is also merciful, otherwise hardly anyone of us would be alive.
