A sunny North Sea and the small harbour at Staxigoe, located 2 miles east of Wick on the north-eastern coast of the former county of Caithness, The few boats that still work from the harbour fish mainly for Crab and Lobster, The unusual name is Norse and loosely translates to "inlet of the stack" A very slight deviation from the main road and missed by many dashing past on the way to John O'Groats and the "North Coast 500 route!
