Shoreline Tree

This is the edge of Bridgwater Bay with the island of Steep Holm on the left and the tip of Brean Down on the right, This hardy tree does well to withstand the storms and gales that blow in off of the Atlantic and up through the Bristol Channel,
A generally gloomy day with short spells of nice light, it did however stay dry, so we managed a decent walk,
Large for the best view, I think.

Late winter afternoon sun catches a flock of Starlings leaving the ground at Steart on the Somerset coast, flocks were gathering before performing mumerations and eventual roosting in the coastal reed beds of Bridgwater Bay,
Photo quality could be better but I had no time to change settings, hopefully it is still good enough for a large view.

Another grey day on Bridgwater Bay, It feels like it has been this way for ages however on this particular day the light was amazing (but still grey), I think the light must have fooled the sensor as I'm sure the grass was not quite that green ;-))
Large if you prefer.
I wish everyone a good week.

From the Bristol Channel coast at Steart across the marshes and the levels to the distant Mendip Hills as low light and soft colours in the evening sky draws another day to a close.
Another revamped oldie as a musical link www.youtube.com/watch?v=s0kprJ30_HU&list=LL&index=3
I prefer the image large (16.9 format)

A trio of pigeons fence sitting as the suns begins to set on the outer reaches of Bridgwater Bay and across the Bristol Channel, through the haze on the right is the South Wales coast while the image is taken from the England coast path which runs at right angles to the fence and just behind the camera.
Large may be better
