Another essential stop on the North Coast 500 road route, This is Smoo Inlet and the steps down to the magnificent Smoo Cave which is a large combined sea and freshwater cave. Portnahaven Isle of Islay, this is the southernmost island of the Inner Hebrides and is a ferry trip of around 2 hours 15 minutes from the mainland at Kintyre.
