This is Maidens in South Ayrshire, Scotland, It is a village in the Kirkoswald parish. Situated on the coast of the Firth of Clyde at the southern end of Maidenhead Bay, A series of rocks known as the "Maidens of Turnberry" form a natural harbour. The bench is a little far away but not as far as my wife (must have been something I said ;-))) HBM and a good week! Large may be good!

Tarbert, Lock Fyne!

A fishing village built at the head of an inlet of Loch Fyne called East Loch Tarbert, on a narrow isthmus which connects Kintyre to the south with Knapdale to the north, It is known as the gateway to Kintyre! HFF and a large view for clarity please!

With the dramatic Island of Arran as a backdrop these lovely ladies were taking a lunch break on the quayside at Carradale, which is the eastern side of the Kintyre peninsula, They spent a while chatting with my wife and were happy for us to take photographs, This is 16.9 format so a large view would be appreciated. HBM and a nice week ahead!

A sea mist hangs over the Kilbrannan Sound which seperates Carradale Harbour on the Kintyre peninsula from the the backdrop of the Isle of Arran, A large view perhaps and HWW!

A misty day and a capture from one of the working quays at Crail, a fishing village in the Kingdom of Fife, The pip is of Creels at Crail, taken the same day on an adjacent quay. Creels are traps used to catch crustaceans, in this case they are likely to be prawns. HFF and a great weekend,,,,, A large view, perhaps. The small but historic former fishing harbour at Staxigoe, which means "the inlet of the stack" in Norse. This is the former county of Caithness and is just 2 miles north of Wick., It is a natural haven with a gently sloping shingle beach, protected by long reefs. Large view may be good.

The weather down here on the Somerset coast remains overcast with very flat light so it's another image from the archives (another from 2009,) The only customer for the afternoon trip is gull so the boats have been winched high up on the steep shingle beach,
