The Cobb, Lyme Regis Dorset, England,The lady with the mobile phone gives the images age away! The top Layer where the majority of the ladies are stood slopes quite steeply to the sea and is quite a sensation when waves are rolling in across Lyme Bay and breaking against the wall, The first sea defense here was in It was in 1538 it has been destroyed by the sea on a number of occasions but the present sturdy Cobb was reconstructed in 1820 using Portland Stone! With the dramatic Island of Arran as a backdrop these lovely ladies were taking a lunch break on the quayside at Carradale, which is the eastern side of the Kintyre peninsula, They spent a while chatting with my wife and were happy for us to take photographs, This is 16.9 format so a large view would be appreciated.
