One of a number beautiful arches that survive in the ruins of, “Kilwinning Toun’s Abbey,” is one of the most historically significant ruined monasteries in Ayrshire, Scotland, Founded around 1162–1188 by Richard de Morville and dedicated to St Mary and St Winning (a little-known Irish or Scottish saint, 1 note! The walls of Dunure Castle, The site dates from the late 13th century; the earliest charter for the lands dating from 1256, but the remains of the building are of 15th- and 16th-century origin. (Wikipedia) Well over 500 years which ever it was! In 16.9 so a large view may better, anyway HWW to all!

A section of Dunstaffnage Castle ruins, The castle is built on an outcrop rock using what appears to be an odd mix of stone, (Large View) I think the colours of the stone in the wall to left are beautiful!. The castle which was built before 1240 has a very defensive position having water on three sides, it covers from Firth of Lorn to the Pass of Brander also Ardmucknish Bay and the entrance to Loch Etive. HWW to all!

Captured from the Isle of Seil the Clachan Bridge at the point it crosses the Clachan Sound it is also known as the bridge over the Atlantic because both ends of the sound connect to the Atlantic Ocean. In my opinion large is better

The Clachan Bridge which is a single arched hump backed bridge spans the Clachan Sound which has both ends open to the Atlantic ocean thus it came to be called the bridge over the Atlantic, The service bus in the picture is crossing from the mainland and onto the Isle of Seil. Aray Bridge, also known as Inveraray Bridge, on a still but hazy/wet day, The bridge consists of two equal segmental arch spans of 65 ft (20 m) built of rubble with all faces of dressed masonry and partly balustraded parapets and it was completed in 1775/6.
