A small section of sea front wall art at Weston Super Mare showing stones painted by local artist Kate Poole, The stones on the left depict the at present dilapidated Birnbeck Pier and across the bottom the famous steam ship, m/s Balmoral which has sailed from Weston for many years. A view along Platform One at Minehead station on the West Somerset Railway Opened in 1874 the sea front station now has platform 1280 feet (ca. 390 m) and a canopy of 200 feet (ca. 61 metres) HBM and a good week ! Large view may help with detail.
