Full head of steam and ready to depart Bishops Lydeard Station and start the climb to Crowcombe station, The station stands at the highest point on the line, just under 400 feet (120 m) above sea level, approached by a 1:86 gradient either side, West Somerset Railway! Great Western Railway large Prairie 2-6-2 T 5199 at Bishops Lydeard Station, having just arrived on a service train from Minehead, Built in 1934 and withdrawn from service 1963, restored to this pristine condition after 20 years standing in a scrap yard! This 22.75 mile (36.61 km) journey on the West Somerset Railway includes 11 stations, Mineheads Platform 1 is a quarter of a mile long which is a relic of Butlins holiday traffic of the past! HFF and a nice weekend!

Running down from the shed and passing the water tower to reverse onto its train at Platform 2, Bishops Lydeard on the West Somerset Railway, This locomotive has been converted from a 2-6-2 tank engine and has proved to be an admirable performer and very well suited to the line.
