Evening sun and an incoming storm across the timber wharf at the Kyle of Lochalsh, with the Isle of Skye across Loch Alsh as a foreshortened backdrop,
Both boats are waiting to load timber, CEG COSMOS (IMO: 8303173) is a General Cargo boat and is sailing under the flag of Latvia. Her length overall (LOA) is 63.21 meters and her width is 11.3 meters.
Fences on the boats, HFF and a great weekend

Five minutes before this image we were sitting on the bench enjoying the evening sun and watching the boats, the wind came first, see the palm tree, quickly followed by dark clouds and then the storm,
We had made it back to the car then, thankfully
This is the Kyle of Lochalsh Lifeboat Station which is home to an RNLI B class lifeboat

A few months ago I had to replace the main computer and have only recently got around to loading my images from the back up and that's when I realised how many unused images I had. I therefore intend to tidy them up and post some, probably every Monday,
The first offering is a shot of Eilean Donan Castle from autumn 2017,
The castle sits at the confluence of of three lochs, Loch Alsh, Loch Duice and Loch Long and was connected to mainland by a footbridge early in the 20th century.

The mooring vessel "MD Warden" leaves Kyle of Lochalsh on a flat and grey autumnal day,
The Isle of Skye and the village of Kyleakin are in the background it's worth remembering that before the building of the Skye bridge this was the crossing point for the island ferries. Two ferries still serve the island, Mallaig to Armadale (Calmac) and the community owned Glenelg to Kyle Rhea which crosses the notorious Kylerhea Straights and is a highly recommended experience. skyeferry.co.uk
