Another changeable day on the Somerset Coast, This is Blue Anchor looking East with people taking exercise along the promenade while keeping an eye on the weather! The mile long beach is available to dog walkers all year around and is great for fossil hunting, in fact Blue Anchor and Lilstock is a 742.8-hectare geological Site of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI). The height of the seawall gives an indication of the tidal range in the channel. HFF and a nice weekend,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,Large view, perhaps.

Typical of the Bristol Channel coast with the high sea wall and steps for access to the beach, this is a low tide image looking east at Blue Anchor with the red cliffs in the distance a site of regular coastal erosion which is now claiming property, On the horizon are the islands of Steep Holm and Flat Holm plus the promontory of Brean Down (16.9 Format) Large for detail
