The 9-mile-long canal links the Sound of Jura to Loch Gilp for access to the Clyde Estuary thus avoiding the long trek around Kintyre especially the exposed Mull of Kintyre ! A part of the 35 acre Crinan wood forms the backdrop Wish you a nice Friday and a good weekend,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, Large for detail please !

These benches are at Cairnbaan locks on the 9-mile-long Crinan Canal, the lock gates in the distance open to the 1,100 yd (1,000 m) long summit of the waterway which is in the distance at Dunardry locks, this is 64 feet (20 metres) above sea level, A busy canal during the summer and this is a popular spot to watch the action, HBM and a nice week, Large view if possible please.

Lock Gates on the Forth and Clyde Canal at The Helix, Falkirk. The canal is 35 miles (56 km) long, and it runs from the River Carron at Grangemouth to the River Clyde at Bowling, This allowed navigation from Edinburgh on the east coast to the port of Glasgow on the west coast. Better viewed large I think ! Wish everyone a nice Friday and a peaceful weekend
