A location familiar with a few Ipernians, This is a Low Water image of Watchet Harbour, on a clear late Spring or early Summer day !
The harbour has a vast tidal range as do all ports on Somersets Bristol Channel Coast,
HFF and a large view if possible please!
A perfect link for any Jazz fans, www.youtube.com/shorts/z4-Phf-WRUk

Awful weather down here in the South West, with no chance of a New Year image for a while yet!

The Bottom Ship at Porlock Weir (Top Ship is down the road in Porlock village) this is fairly typical of pubs in the area, A roaring log fire good ale and food with plenty of outside dining if the weather is kind and passing traffic not to heavy. ;-)
Large may be better for detail.

It's documentation in the Anglo-Saxon Chronicle is proof that the port at Porlock Weir has been in existance for over a thousand years and as one of the few places small ships can land along the rugged Exmoor coast it has had a varied history.
The huge tidal range in the Bristol Channel means everything is left high and dry at low water while the houses in the image which are on the shingle bank between sea and harbour regularly have sand bags at the ready.
