'Snow Country' is a landmark novel of exquisite yearnings, dreams of youth and the sanctity of hope. Sebastian Faulks has produced an epic love story of timeless resonance. This is the second book in a planned Austrian trilogy. I have read he first book, 'Human Traces', and this one, but have not yet read the third.

SC97 – Post 26 May - Black and white, nature This was taken when Adrian and myself were playing crazy golf. Great fun and a close game, he beat me by one point. I did get a hole in one though.

Today's Saturday Self Challenge: Diagonal Lines in Black and White.

Clematis 'Nelly Moser' after a night of rainfall. The first PiP is Geranium macrorrhizum which grows well in dry semi-shade. The second PiP is the withered leaves and flower of the Guernsey Lily, Nerine sarniensis.

SSC: Macro in Black and White. The details of the little glass vase seem to echo the transparent skin of the garlic. There wasn't much processing done for this. I removed the colour, and some extraneous details. That's about it. This is the closest I could get with my lens. Echoes - Pink Floyd
