Could you please be more specific? I can't see any difference there.

Maybe it was only some test that was not there very long. At ima team we have for example discussed an option to show a lot less because summer vacation often causes a lot of "less popular" to view there. After few pages images may for example have only one or zero faves.

I look on Explore to see other images, but have noticed that there was 17pages then 16 pages when it's normally 18 pages + some photos seem stuck after a week or more. co it made me wonder if all is well with IP ?
Plus I am having trouble uploading it's not working properly .

Seit zwei Tagen erscheinen immer die selben Bilder in der Galerie. Es werden keine neuen Bilder angezeigt. Wurde etwas am Algorithmus oder der Hintergrundverarbeitung geändert?

I am pretty sure it is caused by people being on a vacation. Less people liking, viewing and commenting photos.

Can someone please tell me if the photos are still unchanging. If so, innovations can try to find if the cause is that the algorithm script is not longer running regularly. Due to stopping and restarting one of the servers.

At least there are now 18 pages again.

Es gibt ein Problem mit der 'Galerie'. Mein Foto www.ipernity.com/doc/trester88/50288538 habe ich am 21.8. hochgeladen / veröffentlicht. In der Galerie steht 20.8. ?!? Obwohl das Bild viele Sterne bekommen hat, dauerte es einen ganzen Tag, bis es in der Galerie erschien. Andere Bilder vom gleichen Tag mit weniger Sternen erschienen viel eher in der Galerie. Das falsche Veröffentlichungsdatum hat wahrscheinlich auch einen Einfluss auf die Platzierung.
Gibt es für dieses Phänomen eine Erklärung?
Kann es sein, dass das Datum / die Uhrzeit auf beiden Servern unterschiedlich ist?

Die Verzögerung hat ihre Ursache darin, dass alle Bilder vor der Veröffentlichung auf Unbedenklichkeit überprüft werden. Denn wir wollen keine Pornos oder andere unangemessene Bilder in der Galerie. Diese Prüfung fand früher immer werktags von 8 bis 12 Uhrt statt (durch Audrey, die von Montag bis Freitag halbtags für ipernity tätig war). Deshalb gab es schon immer Wartezeiten von bis zu 76 Stunden.

Seit Übernahme der Wenseite durch uns Mitglieder wird die Prüfung ehrenamtlich von William Sutherland durchgeführt. Weil er in New York lebt, findet sie etwa um Mitternacht mitteleuropäischer Zeit statt. Anders als früher ist William eigentlich täglich aktiv. Aber auch er nimmt sich manchmal einen freien Tag. Dennoch bemüht er sich, keine längeren Pausen als 76 Stunden entstehen zu lassen.

Es ist aber garantiert, dass alle unbedenklichen Bilder früher oder später an dem ihnen zustehenden Platz in der Galerie erscheinen. Am Auswahlalgorithmus wurde nämlich nichts verändert.

Bisher hatte ich angenommen, es sei ein vollautomatischer Prozess. Dass hier auch von Hand zugearbeitet wird, war mir nicht bewusst. Aber das erklärt Vieles, so dass ich in Zukunft mehr Geduld aufbringen werde.

Christophe Ruelle hatte vor langer Zeit mal versucht, ein Contentfilterungssystem aufzubauen. Aber daraus ist nie was geworden. Im Zusammenhang mit erotischer Fotografie haben wir es hier zuletzt vor einem Jahr diskutiert: www.ipernity.com/group/userhelpcentral/discuss/195144
Bis es ausgereifte Contentfiltersysteme gibt, wird wohl noch viel Zeit ins Land gehen. Nicht mal die Großen der Branche kommen bisher ohne menschliche Aufsicht aus.

The dates that you see are from the database not the files themselves. There is more than one copy of the database on different servers, but the data is replicated. For your stated photo, the time stamp is 22:01:05 on the 20th. This is UTC, so for you, just into 21st. But for the photos in the Gallery, UTC is used due to the varied time zones. Only in your own gallery is the time zone used to display an adjusted time.
The 'score' given to a photo by the algorithm, to determine its place in the Gallery is not purely on number of Faves, and comments, but also on the rate at which they are received.
