Here you can post ideas on how we can improve ipernity's visibility on Facebook. It would be desirable not just to brainstorm, but to come together in a productive working group to actually turn promising ideas into reality.

Here in the main article we will record agreed measures and name the volunteers who will take care of their realization.

1) Target group for advertising on Facebook.
We need such a description to focus our advertising measures on the most effective point. Of course, any new users who do not fit this definition are also very welcome. But we don't spend any promotional budget on these.

For discussion: We are looking for interested persons who

● pursue photography as a hobby without wanting to earn money with it
● would like to build up a permanent photographic presence on the web without having to create his own website
● want to keep the rights to his pictures
● do not want to be bothered by advertising while practising his hobby
● are looking for contact with other amateur photographers
● are looking for inspiration and feedback
● are 50 to 70 years old
● live in Western Europe, North America, Australia, New Zealand
● are interested in image editing programmes
● go online via Windows or macOS

2) A small pilot advertising campaign was prepared for this target group. We are looking for a campaign manager who can activate this campaign on Facebook as soon as possible.

If there is a way to use those type categories, I think that makes a lot of sense.

In the meantime, there are three publishing-ready proposals for the envisioned advertising campaign on Facebook. For all three pictures, the photographers and the persons photographed have given their permission to use the pictures for this purpose royalty-free.

In its meeting yesterday, the ima team decided that the target group of the first advertising campaign are well-off older hobby photographers in western countries with high buying potential, who shoot with classic cameras, are interested in image editing, photo books, photo accessories, or photo sharing and go online via laptop or desktop.

Why? Because ipernity's strengths clearly lie in the desktop version and not in the mobile versions. Furthermore, this target group is the most likely that the clicks (we have to pay for !) will lead to registrations, because this target group is not completely fixated on smartphones or tablets, both in terms of age and technical orientation.

Because of our limited budget, we initially only want to place these ads in countries where English, French or German is spoken.

Please feel free to suggest a fourth photo that fits into such a campaign. However, you would also have to care about obtaining the permissions for royalty-free use. We will then do the final editing
