The Guadiana International Bridge (Spanish: Puente Internacional del Guadiana; Portuguese: Ponte Internacional do Guadiana) is a bridge that crosses the Guadiana River connecting southern Spain (town of Ayamonte) and Portugal (town of Castro Marim). It is the southernmost land crossing on the Portugal–Spain border. It is not split evenly between the two countries, a greater share of it situated in Portugal. Completed in 1991, its structural type is a cable-stayed bridge, with a deck of prestressed concrete. The bridge was designed by the Portuguese Structural Engineer Professor José Luis Câncio Martins on behalf of Huarte S.A. (now Obrascón Huarte Lain) and Teixeira Duarte. The bridge is open to vehicles only. It is the third longest bridge in Portugal and one of the longest in Spain.
The bridge is 666 metres long with the central span between the towers being 324 metres. The deck stands 20 metres above the river, allowing the navigation of ships of deep draft. The two towers of the bridge are 95 and 96 metres tall, respectively. The Spanish side tower rests on an artificial island built on the riverbed, while the pillar on the Portuguese side is on land.
The bridge connects the Via do Infante de Sagres A22 motorway (Portugal) to the Autopista del Quinto Centenario A-49 Motorway (Spain), and is part of the European route E1.

This was supposed to be for SC64: “ Sliding Door Moment - Something in your week, which makes a difference. This can be reality, symbolic, or literal. ”
But I guess I didn’t understand the challenge description, I thought it was meant to be the philosophical interpretation of a sliding door moment, not only showing sliding doors which would have been the easy part.
Looking at what is being posted I see I got it wrong for the challenge, JPMarcello is like me, he didn't understand what was asked. So we skip.

According to Gillian's comment and suggestion to add this to the Sunday Challenge... I did.

As many of you know Estrelinha, the dog of my life, passed away in January 2022.
After a lifetime with dogs, for reasons of health and responsibility I decided that I wouldn't have any more, except for an old dog from the shelter that nobody wanted to adopt, to give it a good end of life.
Ninfa will be 9 in January, she spent more than 5 and a half years at the shelter. Even the vet in charge doesn't understand why she hasn't been adopted: she's sweet, smart, beautiful and well-behaved.
Here she is, with my hand close to her, on the sofa, enjoying a new fulfilled life.
And I'm fine, because for my balance I need to know that I'm doing good, for people as well as for animals.

SC66: Knife, fork, spoon
Having hard times, so imagination not at the top...
I am a knive collector, everywhere I go I must bring a knive and a pebble, I have dozens of each, so a hard choice.
I decided therefore to show 2 from Portuguese artisans and the one closer to the plate comes from Corsica.
About the plate:
macauantigo.blogspot.com/2018/09/servico-de-porcelana-chinesa-de-d-pedro.html
D. Pedro III (1717-1786) was the son of João V and Maria Ana of Austria. The National Palace of Queluz was his favourite residence and that's where this complete Chinese export porcelain service ("Companhia das Índias") from the Quianlong reign (1736-1795), consisting of a dinner service, tea, coffee and chocolate, went. It was purposely commissioned for the king and decorated with the Portuguese Royal Arms superimposed on the cross of the Order of Malta. The service is called "Louça de Macao" and reproductions were made for commercial purposes.
IN PIP, some more...
I also collect pebbles...
