The snail ahows up so well against the lichen, Zanthoria I think.

Both are fantastic! The humble snail on its yellow lichen carpet and as to the humpback- they have been among my most impressive animal encounters.

A little bit of research shows that many species of snails eat lichen.

This is a super image Isabel.......the detail in the snail and the lichen is excellent and I love the colours.

The iconic "whale tail" image is just amazing...I've seen it so many times in photos and on the TV etc, but never in the wild. A brilliant shot..!!
