CMT20 Sunday challenge - How would you spend some me time?
HIKING IN THE WILD IS WHAT KEEPS ME BALANCED. LOVE THE SILENCE ONLY INHABITED BY THE WIND, THE TINY NOISES MADE BY BUGS AND OTHER LITTLE OR BIGGER ONES I TRY NOT TO DISTURB. LOOK AT VEGETATION, HOW IT GROWS AND REACTS TO THE SEASONS, I KNOW WHICH POPS UP IN WHICH SEASON SO I LOOK FOR THEM. WHEN SUN COMES DOWN I SIT IN A BOULDER TO ADMIRE LAST DAYLIGHTS LIKE IN THE PHOTO ABOVE. THEN I HURRY BACK BECAUSE THE WAYS ARE HARD AND TRICKY, EVEN IF I HAVE A SURE FOOT BETTER NOT DO IT WITHOUT ANY LIGHT...
UNFORTUNATELY EACH YEAR THERE ARE LESS AND LESS ANIMALS, BIG LIZARDS, SMALL ONES, PARTRIDGES, RABBITS AND HARES, FOXES, MONGOOSES... EVEN OTHER BIRDS DESERTED THE AREA SINCE "CLEVER" ECOLOGISTS INTRODUCED LYNXES... AND THOSE BLOODY WILD CATS KILL EVERYTHING, SOME EVEN ENTERED THE VILLAGE AT NIGHT TO KILL THE POULTRY. ONE DAY THERE WILL BE ONLY BOARS AND LYNXES, BUT MEN HUNT BOARS, NOT LYNXES, SO GUESS WHAT WILL BE LEFT? HOPE I WILL BE DEAD BY THEN NOT TO SEE IT...

Xata club has replied to William Sutherland clubSorry to hear that lynxes are causing havoc, by their behaviour it seems this isn't the right area for them. They are no problem in Germany with its many woods and deer, but as Karsten writes we are having problems with too many wolves....

About 10 million feral cats, uncountable millions of rabbits. Millions of feral goats. About 3 million feral camels. Donkeys. Buffaloes. Cane toads. Our wildlife and habitats are really threatened by all these imports which have escaped and bred up so much. We even export Camels to Saudi Arabia as the genetics of our ferals are better than the captive breeds in the Gulf States.
Keep well. Sending love xxxx

Ils ont empêché la création de coupe- feu dans les Landes pour préserver la forêt... la suite se devine ; cet été la forêt a brûlé .. plus de forêt
