"Young man ... the name is Brian Clough.
And don't you start telling me about tracking back and angles and crosses. That's my job to teach you.
And don't you forget it!"

my favourite Brian Clough RE: Offside (when the rule included the proviso). “If he is NOT interfering with play what is he doing on the pitch” :-)

Love the way the shadows from the low sun emphasise the pathways. Good work Colin!

This is just lovely Colin.............the light has brought out all the fantastic colours and detail in the landscape. Beautifully taken sir!

I like the Brian Clough references above. I don't follow football, but I read a biography of him years ago. He was a great strategist and a superb leader...........and a nice bloke by all accounts. I suspect he could have taught today's players (and managers) a lot!

The reason I read the biography was that it was required reading on a Leadership course I did when I promoted to Petty Officer in the RN (Army Sgt equivalent).

That would be interesting reading about Clough the man without a detailed knowledge of his Football exploits. He could have been a politician if he had decided that but he would probably have had as many against as for him .

Notwithstanding the Brian Clough references (and yes, I remember watching his heated debates on TV many a time) this is a great scene Colin, exactly the type of thing I like to go for too. Well done.

Cheers, Herb

Re-visiting the Clough aspect -
I was amazed and somehow more than a little chuffed to find that he is revered in football circles in Spain. Even a major football feature in one of the main Sports dailies has a piece entiled 'Los Ojos de Clough': The Eyes of Clough!
