Note: water from heavy rain bypassing this reservoir through the channel to the right to reach Valehouse Reservoir which when full overspills into Bottoms Reservoir OR the water can be diverted to bypass all the reservoirs and fill the Irish Sea starting as the River Etherow ending as the River Mersey
