Reflecting on emus at Mungo
Water in Lake Mungo! Recent rain showers had left a few small pools of water, enough to allow reflections of these two emus. In the distance are the dunes known as the "Walls of China" on the eastern side of the lake bed.

I like the reflections. We saw emus only in captivity when we visited Australia, but we did see a wild cassowary, which was absolutely awesome. Of course, on the day that we saw the cassowary, I only had my point and shoot with me.

Many thanks for all your comments and faves, everyone. By way of background, I went into panic mode to get these emus while they were in a position for reflections in the pools. We saw a great many emus at L. Mungo and, later, along various outback roads, but never again with water nearby, so I was lucky.
