Juniper
Or I assume it is some sort of a juniper. I went to cemetery especially because I wanted to share this juniper tree with you all. It stands out proudly on one grave. Needles of it are approximately one centimeter long.

Sami Serola (inactiv… club has replied to Chrissy clubAnd there are even more of them ;-)
I took several shots, trying to capture also some droplets. However, the overall composition was best on this one.
Sami Serola (inactiv… club has replied to Marie-claire GalletSami Serola (inactiv… club has replied to Taormina clubWell, Pinophyta are especially common choice of plants at cemeteries, at least in Scandinavia. Probably because cypresses does not usually grow around here.
Sami Serola (inactiv… club has replied to Percy Schramm clubDans le triptyque , j'aime particulièrement la photo centrale
Sami Serola (inactiv… club has replied to neira-Dan clubThat "triptych" is merely as a choice of layout, to save space and avoid unnecessary vertical scrolling. From composition point of view this would have been better:
My fave for the one at your office with the black background.
Sami Serola (inactiv… club has replied to Xata clubI agree, the shot with black background is sort of most aesthetic. Although, my out of the comfort zone goal was to go out and take a shot in natural environment. I guess other people at the cemetery were puzzled to see me walking around the juniper, trying to find the best angle for the shot =D
I also took several shots with my cell phone, but the weather was very difficult! Almost all shots came out hazy and blurry.
Happy new week.....
In England.. it was King John who decreed the planting of them so that "the Bowmen of England" would always have the finest wood for bows and arrows.
Many yew trees are hundreds of years old even now.
