Guess Where!?

Yes, it's Gold Hill again! I was meeting my daughter Michelle, for the first time since lock-down began, in Shaftesbury. I was on time, but she had a flat tyre! A large nail in her front tyre! It look a while to change it, so I walked to Gold Hill...where else would you go! When she eventually arrived she bought pizza and a drink in the local bakery. One of only three shops open in the town. Then we enjoyed a couple of hours walking together. It was so difficult not to hug her!!

You're so lucky to live near here and near your daughter, Rosa. I haven't seen any of my 3 daughters yet, and still haven't heard from the consultant. The garden is getting a good going over, and Adrian is minding the phone.

Shaftesbury does have a lot to offer. We found an interesting old graveyard called Bury Litton with a huge yew trew! Michelle lives 18 miles in one direction and Lyndsay is 18 miles in the opposite direction. You must miss your daughters and grandchildren very much.
I hope you hear from the consultant soon Amelia, and that it is good news.

It seems a beautiful and very interesting place. I would have hugged her... but everyone of us acts as one feels and fruit of our own experience, fears, place we live, etc.

Did you walk up or down ??? The Hovis advert has been restored they did an amazing job. I don't know why you worried about not hugging your daughter, when you see the photos of them playing sardines on the beaches not a care in the world only two worries when will the pubs open and when can they go on holiday !! Is your computer behaving now ?

It's behind the Town Hall Peter, so I didn't go up or down the hill. Too hot for that! I wouldn't risk hugging my daughter as she has a compromised immune system unfortunately. See my reply to Xata. My computer is OK today thanks. I don't know why this was the only site I couldn't access for two days. Might get a little rain for the gardens tomorrow!!

Yes it was great to see her and we did have an air hug!! While she was in the bakery I saw a traffic warden take her number, so encouraged her to park in the car park like I did, as we would be more than an hour. They are never far away are they!!
