I agree with you about the fixing of the gate. I wonder if it is like this to make sure it is not stolen! It must have cost a lot of money! They wouldn't want it to slip off too easily :)

Oh here is two beautiful material!! Brick and iron! They are always wonderful when together!
I like very much to use them together on my projects. ( I am an architect , and I'm working on the old buildings restoration in my country. These are most old and simply materials. So they are so beautiful.)
