The pond seems smaller and there seems to be a fence around the road (perhaps), but it's so nice that you still have these happy memories, Rosa.

It really is all still the same, except for the two big trees Amelia. It's a village with little through traffic so that is probably why so little has changed there.

Yes the trees were very old Gudrun. It did look very bare for a while but there are two more trees to replace them. It will take a long time for them to get as big though. Thanks for your lovely comments.

It's really nice to look back at these photo's Rosa, My sister is guardian of all our old photo's... I may go through them to see if any are worth sharing.. I can see where Sophie gets her golden locks from.. ;-))

So true Roger. It is nice to have the actual photograph in your hand as well. Everyone is a photographer these days with their mobiles, but I wonder how many are printed off! All those awful pounting selfies....who would want them!!

My father often used to take us to this village, and now my eldest daughter lives there!
