The Crown Hotel, Wells Market Place.

A blue plaque on this building says - Here was the shop of Wells photographer Bert Phillips. I looked him up recently and his family owned this shop and later studio from 1855-1979, when it later became The Crown Hotel. There are lots of his photographs from the time of WWI in the Wells Museum, many taken at The Cedars Hospital, Wells, and that is where my grandfather was taken after he was injured. So a trip to the Museum next time!
