I recently got a tiny old museum catalog of abstracts by Julius Bissier and was fascinated by them. But what looks simple isn't always so simple to do. So decided to make some watercolor backgrounds and begin with a letter, just as a pretext to be able to continue with collage, watercolor and ink. It isn't an interpretation of the letter or anything alike, the letter becomes just a shape and line element.

Yes Marko, Bissier is a kind of genius artist who got recognized late. His paintings look very simple, minimalist. He was like Rothko and Jawlensky, more of a spiritual painter.
