Christa, es gibt immerhin 90 davon in unserer Stadt, und ich habe sicher noch nicht alle gesehen. Aber ich kann es mir schon vorstellen. Muss mal auf die Suche gehen... :-)

Charming house for the Kurdistan office! Curiously, the flag on the wall is very similar to the Iranian flag. Belated HFF, Poly!

Dimas, yes, they are quite similar. But the symbols are very different.
In the Iran flag the Green symbolizes Islam, White peace and friendship and Red courage and spilled blood in war. In the center is the national emblem of Iran.
In the in the Kurdish flag the Green expresses the beauty and landscapes of Kurdistan. The Red symbolizes the blood of the martyrs and the continued struggle for freedom and dignity. The White represent peace and equality. And the Yellow represents the source of life and light of the people. The sun is an ancient symbol and twenty one sunbeams represent March 21.
