On the South Downs near Bishopstone - 18.9.2015
The chalky downland arable fields change dramatically from the green shoots of April, May and June, to the gold grain of the harvest. Now the stubble is breaking down to leave the chalk with a very thin covering of soil.
This view looks north-westwards across the South Downs National Park.
