One of the recommendations in the Conservation Appraisal, from which I got some of the buildings' names, was that the power lines should be replaced by underground cabling. I am sure that is what the planners and conservation officers would like. Doubtless the residents would too, although most probably see them as part of the landscape, that they are used to. I doubt that the power companies see it as a priority. The Conservation Appraisals are quite interesting and useful documents if you want to know more about these communities and their history.
