Driving back to Cartagena from our weekend in Barranquilla, we stoped at one of the many beaches along the way. It was a weekday and there weren't many people at this particular one. I was intriguied by the rows of rickety cabanas when this ice cream vendor happened to walk into the scene. -Feb. 2020

The Barranquilla Carnival is a four day party that takes place just before Lent. It is celebrated with three parades and lots of dancing and partying in the streets. I made this photo of this very exotic looking couple at La Gran Parada on Sunday Feb.24, 2020

We were returning to our hotel after watching the sunset from the old city walls when we passed an outdoor wedding reception at one of the hotels. These two beautiful young ladies were from a group that was getting ready to perform at the reception. I asked them if I could take their photo and they obliged with a smile and a pose. -Feb. 2020

I was attracted to the wonderful photographic posters on the side of this famous cafe in Cartagena. I had to wait a few minutes for the man to step into the scene to add a much needed human element to juxtapose with the faces on the poster. I like the sense of scale here too. -Feb. 2020

Salento is a beautiful little mountain town in the coffee growing region of the Cocora Valley in Colombia. We spent several days here hiking the trails in the National Park outside the town. This image was made from the main plaza of one of the streets leading up to it. -Feb. 2020
