It was a brilliant Autumn day, I was walking our dog in the Wentworth Farms Conservation Area when I came upon what looked like an explosion of color, light and shadow. This one's from my archives, the pre-digital era, made on Kodak Kodachrome color slide film, scanned into Lightroom with minor adjustments.

I found this colorful assortment of pumpkins arrayed on the ground at the Park Hill Orchards.

The Mill River meanders through my town, I found this composition from the Pine Street bridge near the Arts & Industry building.

We were visiting friends in the Northeast Kingdom area of Vermont when we stopped to admire this incredible view from the north side of the lake.

The sun was nearly down when I was driving by this field of abandoned pumpkins. It was after a heavy frost so the foliage and vines were flattened into a macabre web of decay. The light and perspective gave the scene a forlorn spooky feel. I made this image in October 2004 with my Nikon D70.

This image of the restoration of an old building was made with a Leica M3 with a 35mm Summicron lens on AgfaPan 400 film. Hand processed back in 1984, recently scanned and colorized with Photoshop's Neural Colorize Filter, with some hand retouching via additional color layers.

I came across this pile of eroded bricks along the bike trail in Leeds. They were probably fished out of the river and are also remnants of the Great Flood of 1874

This strange pattern of eroded bricks lay in a shallow pool of the Mill River. In May 1874 there was a great flood on this river which caused the death of 139 people and the destruction of many homes and factories along the river. These bricks are remnants of one of those factories still lying underwater in the river bed.

The sign on the white painted brick wall caught my eye.

Just a few bricks I found around my property and store in the back of my garage. You never know when you need a good brick.

This bricked and barred window is visible from the High Line walkway. Is it a jail cell for a very bad person?

I made this spontaneous, "grab shot" of my daughters and their two children enjoying Mexican style tacos for dinner on a pleasant Summer Wednesday evening. Just a simple photo depicting the two generations who will be succeeding me. When I made this I wasn't aware that it was World Photography Day, until the next day when I logged into Ipernity to upload photos for my monthly photo group meeting. I had only made three photos on Wednesday and this one gives me the best feelings. I am reminded of the color work of William Eggleston whose simple and sometimes quirky mages of the often mundane aspects of daily life serve as a way to freeze our attention to what is normally overlooked as we negotiate our busy lives.

I was intrigued with the juxtaposition of the three fisherman on the empty sea amidst a glorious sunset. No filter used with limited enhancement in Lightroom.

Image was made at the Kakaʻako Waterfront Park in downtown Honolulu where people gather each evening to watch the amazing sunsets.

This image was made near Brunswick Maine during an episode of hazy skies, the result of the smoke from wildfires in western Toronto Canada. The haze created an eerie apocalyptic feeling to the day as it lingered over New England

Driving from New Mexico to Utah we encountered a brief thundershower, I made this image through the windshield just as the sun was setting.

Image was made in my early days of photography with a Nikkormat camera on Kodachrome color slide film. It is a reminder of the spirit of the young music loving "Woodstock Generation" that I was a part of.
