Thank you Karen - I would be lying if I gave you a name - they are Cormorants, as far as I know, but my knowledge of the birds at the beach is very limited I'm afraid! Now if they were cars.........;0)

EDIT: Just looked at the birds again and they are probably IBIS - we call them Hadedah's named after their raucous call - I didn't realise that they were flying over the sea when I took the shot - they are very much land birds.
