ravens

These are my buddies at a beach where I like to hike. The new Ipernity group "two is better" made me think to upload this :) This is a sepia print , a printing process similar to Van Dyke brown. I've been making these kinds of prints again the past few weeks. I'm terrible at scanning: the entire image is the same brown color as the raven on the left. Printed 5 February 2022. Original photo taken with Nikon Z5 and 24-200 lens a few weeks ago.

North Wright's Beach

20 June - 21 December 2021. cntl-z to see on black background. I usually walk by this spot a couple times a week. The can-camera moved some when we had a big storm the 3rd week of October . It was still there a couple weeks ago, but when I picked it up yesterday there had been a rock slide and it was at the bottom of a cliff in a pile of rocks! But I kind of like it!

Solstice to Solstice

20 Jun 2021 3 7 261
Another "solstice to solstice" solargraph... the can is aimed up so that the sun crosses on a straight line in the middle on the equinox. The top is the summer solstice and the bottom is the winter solstice. 8x10 unicolor positive paper in a pinhole camera. :) yes I feel a little silly posting it in the solargraphy group where I'm the only member. I think we need to take all the pinhole groups and combine them into one.

Wright's Beach Solargraph

Almost 1/2 year of sunsets... the can was moved. You can see where the line on the bottom stops, the moment the camera was picked up, and the streak of light when it was moved, and then 2 days of streaks on the lower left while it sat on the ground in a different place before I went and got it. Fortunately the person who picked it up did not open it :)

Matanzas Creek

North side of Sonoma Mountain in Sonoma County, California. This is called Matanzas Creek. I was there a few months ago... after they let us go to the parks again. Coffee can pinhole paper negative, exposure was about an hour.
