Toward Sonoma Mountain

Toward Sonoma Mountain
View toward Sonoma Mountain from Willow Street near Cotati, California. Continuing experiments with overexposing and then developing with dilute cold developer. Not colored. Just scanned, inverted and some levels adjustment.

I meant this one to be 2 stops overexposed, but the light was failing and in my hurry I miscalculated and overexposed by 1 stop. So it is very similar to one I already tried. Just a few minutes after I made this, the sunlight in in the foreground was gone.

So far developed this way:
About 1/2 stop over: Here. Almost a normal negative.
About 1 stop over: this one and Here.
And about 1-1/2 stops over: Here.

Ethereal and engaging. I really love the scene and the look you've achieved with this... I've got so much to learn, and so much newfound inclination to actually try to do it!

Thank you Colin! My advice is to have fun. I have plenty of failures that you don't see here, but the fun is in the doing. This adventure of overexposing and then really slow development of paper negatives all started from a mistake!
