Totnes Station Bench

The South Devon Railway, previously known as the Dart Valley Railway, is a 10.7km single track railway which for the majority of its route to Buckfastleigh runs alongside the River Dart.

Totnes is a lovely thriving town with independent only shops along its hilly Main Street. Amongst the shops are a department store, hand made shoe shop, several silver jewellers, and a large secondhand bookshop.
Buckfastleigh on the southern edge of Dartmoor is an equally lovely town and its other main tourist attractions are Buckfast Abbey and the Butterfly Farm and Otter Sanctuary.
