... the object of my affections since I saw a documentary about it's construction. This image was taken after my first crossing from the services at the north end; the driving cab in R0X1 gave me a great high view. The services offer viewing areas, a permanent exhibition about its construction, souvenir shops and cafe.
The A75 from Clermont Ferrand to Béziers gives spectacular views of the Massif Central, high altitudes, several tunnels and south of St. Flour at the services, a wonderful view of another important bridge; Eiffel's iron railbridge spanning the R. Truyere.
I made this journey several times but not always in the same direction!!

Have a great evening
Your picture helps me to understand your fascination with this viaduc.
Remember well all discussions at school ( Switzerland ) when its first project was known.
Forgetting the engineer I was at the time of its inauguration, I keep the respect for
its beauty, Have a great day Maggs.
A lovely series in the PiPs too. All very nicely composed and taken.
