Der "lousy day" hatte immerhin einen bezaubernden Nebelschleier.
Und die neckischen Baumwipfel umrahmen die wiederkäuenden Kühe derart nett,
daß der "lousy fence" dann gar nicht so lausig wirkt.

One of our favorite places--we've stayed at the little resort there many times for cross-country ski trips. Here's that fence seen looking back from the meadow a bit farther back on the road:

It was a good snow year then! Mt. Tehama, which should be visible behind those trees, is blocked by the clouds.
