...from a distant past ... Ventura Farms, 555 W. Potrero Road. This gate is now deserted and looks awful in street view. The main entrance has been moved about one mile to the east.

HFF everyone. Have a nice weekend. Tomorrow - Sept. 26th - is Iper Meeting in Heidelberg, Germany with a crowd of 16. Cross your fingers for fair weather!

Looks lovely. When I first read the title I thought of Hidden Valley Lake, CA, which became tinder indeed during the last wildfires. Miraculously, my husband's uncle's house was spared while the next block burnt to the ground. Everyone here is looking forward to the promised El Nino rain season.

This is LA county, just a few miles from our home back then. An yes, we hat it all: fites in late summer and fall, mudslides in winter and earhquakes all year long :-/

Damals waren die noch relativ neu dort mit ihrer Pferdefarm usw. und das wirklich noch ziemlich hidden und sehr schön. Heute eher nicht mehr, auch wegen der krebsartig wachsender Erschließung des Umlandes von LA.
