Fatsia Japonica

Also known as a Castor Oil plant. I spotted this in a garden in our road and the owner kindly gave me permission to chop a bit off to photograph indoors. Now I've photographed it the seeds will be saved for planting in our garden.

How big will this plant grow? It looks beautiful and delicate. Fatsia japonica is poisonous, especially for pets such as cats and dogs,

The shrub I got this bit off was around 1 metre high, but I suspect it will get bigger. I had no idea it was poisonous!

Whoo! This is a first class shot I like the little clusters of what I assume to be new flowers waiting to bloom, as ever it looks great viewed large :)

PS just a thought but I would have gone in real close on one of the little clusters but hey that's just me!
