Red Berries

Red Berries
I have no ideas what plant/tree these red berries come from. I found them piled up like this on a wall near the the Bishop's Palace Gardens in Chichester, West Sussex. As they were there, I thought I'd take a photo of them and I quite like how it turned out.

Edit 27th Oct.........thanks to David G Johnson (below), I believe these berries are called Autumn Olives.

Nouchetdu38, trester88, John FitzGerald, Xata and 18 other people have particularly liked this photo

I've taken a look around Net. images,. - and they might be,. ''Autumn Olives'' - it says >
''Small red berries (¼ inch) with silver speckles, ripening in late summer to fall''.,

At first I thought it was a selective colour photo, then I realised it was not.
I love the light on the red unknown berries , a very fine contrast with the blurred background.
A delightful shot, Keith.

Thanks for the try at the ID. I don't think I'll know for sure unless I go back to the the gardens and look for the plant itself.

Glad you like the photo though........many thanks Isabel.
