Fossil

Fossil
During a walk along the pebbled beach at Langstone Harbour, Hampshire I found this small pebble with a fossil on it.

I thought it was worth taking home to photograph. Please view large for the best detail.

The PiP shows the same stone next to a measuring tape for scale.

trester88, Christel Ehretsmann, Jean Paul Capdeville, Fred Fouarge and 14 other people have particularly liked this photo

Extraordinary Keith, what luck to find something like that by chance on the beach. Great the PiP, so you have the perfect scale.

Blumin heck, I would never have imagined this to be over 4m (16ft) wide :)

What a brilliant find and well worth keeping. It is many years back now that I last found a fossil. It looks a little like a starfish with a missing leg but.... yes I know!

Well done. Enjoy the rest of the weekend. Herb

It is called 'Sanddollar'
