Some of the cottages and other buildings found in the grounds of the Cowdray House Ruins, on the Cowdray Estate, Midhurst, West Sussex. The small building on the right is a store house (hat was probably used for grain). The little mushroom-like legs it's standing on are called Staddle Stones and were designed to help guard against water seepage and vermin. Better viewed large for detail.

I'm not sure about planning permission...............the whole estate is privately owned by the Viscount Cowdray. I don't expect he even bothered asking!!
