River Otter Tidal Estuary

The landscape looks like here. Rainy, grey days ! But it’s nice to imagine this place in bright sun. I think it’s very lovely.

This is a very moody photos of Buddleigh Salterton, Keith. Instantly recognizable for me because of the row o fir trees. Have they opened the flood gates further up the Otter where there is a new bridge?

That looks a very attractive place to wander past. Am I correct that a wildlife film on TV mentioned Otters seen on the River Otter ?

It's a lovely place Colin and one of my favourite places to visit when we go to Devon.

Glad you like the photo. I'm afraid I have not seen the TV programme you mention, nor have I ever seen an Otter on the River Otter, but I assume there must have been some,

I've seen an article online which says they're making a comeback on the river, but it doesn't give more detail than that. I'll investigate next time I visit!

This island? isthmus? whatever spreading from the left seems in movement, a fine photo indeed.

Not an island Isabel, this is a tidal wetlands area and there are channels running through the landscape. I'm pleased you like the shot.............thank you!

It was really strange. I was standing only around 50 metres from the sea and beach to take this, but the atmosphere was quite different. I'm pleased you like this one and thanks for your kind comments.
