Magnolia
This flower was retrieved from the lawn in my next door neighbour's garden, where it had been broken off the tree (probably by one of his children). He kindly let me take it to make a photo.

p.s the Magnolia bush opposite has lost most of it's flowers in the cold wind of the last couple of days.
