Greedy..!!

Greedy..!!
Another "through the double glazing" image from the garden............this time it's a Starling attack on the fat-ball feeder. There's no such thing as waiting your turn with this lot!

Please view large, on black. Thanks for looking :-)

And all very vocal by the look of things Keith, they do insist in feeding mob handed and are really messy eaters but a terrific capture with lots of frantic action,
Have a great weekend and stay warm.

So typical of starling! You have captured the action beautifully Keith. The wings look beautiful. They have the perfect beaks for big chunks of fat balls!

A nice sunny start to the weekend here. I hope it's the same with you. Have a good one.

A top shot again Keith.. no motion blur and smack on focus.. // Your circular feeder looks interesting,.. I take it that you drop the fat balls in from the top - and they roll down until it's topped up ? our birds would love one...// Cheers and 'all the best' from ...> Dj.

A top shot and a bulls-eye with you camera to boot. Well done. Is this your new lens?

Cheers, Herb

Thanks Herb. Not my new lens...........no need for that as this feeder is quite close to the window. The 40-150 zoom was quite sufficient at 100mm.

Thank you all for leaving such nice comments...........I'm glad you enjoyed this shot. Sometime we have as many as 15-20 starlings all trying to eat at the same time. The fat balls don't last long.........but fortunately they're not expensive!

Ein guter Schnappschuss, Keith!
Bei uns gibt es im Winter keine Stare. Sie sind in den Süden gezogen. Aber vermutlich ist der Winter bei euch milder.

Thanks Wilhelm. I think the reason you don't have any at the moment is because they're all in my garden..!!
